What is talent management?

An effective talent management program focuses on three key ideas: the acquiring, hiring and retaining of skilled labor. Since our inception, the focus at Singular has been on finding talent for the energy industry. More specifically that includes the oil and gas, power, utilities and renewables sectors.  With their unique regulations, laws and certifications, staffing this industry is often a tricky and detailed endeavor. We are familiar with the exclusive requirements and stipulations of the energy industry and its many subsidiaries. Where other managed service providers might find hiring within the oil and gas industry intimidating and far too challenging, we relish the opportunity to use our vast knowledge of expertise to delve deep and find the best talent.

Retaining the best talent

One of the greatest problems in the staffing industry remains retaining key players who help an organization excel and grow. Employees leave for a variety of reasons, whether it is due to better compensation elsewhere, lack of employee development or they feel they simply aren’t the correct fit for the position. Often an MSP or RPO will act as a middle-man between the vendor and client. In our experience, the essence of a message can be lost or misinterpreted with this scenario. At Singular we emphasize the need for direct communication to ensure the talent that is being brought into the fold, is competent and feels that they can contribute long term to the well-being of the company.
